Thompson Twins

Looking back on the music I listened to growing up, I don’t have many songs I still listen to, let alone whole albums. Into the Gap is an exception. I still like the whole album and about once a year I go through a period where I revisit their music. They had 3 hits on the album with Doctor! Doctor!, Sister of Mercy, Hold Me Now and The Gap. But I like them all. Considering my music taste has shifted, I think that’s a pretty strong endorsement. I also liked a lot of the next album – Here’s to Future Days. I also liked the band that they morphed into called Babble. But I still like Into the Gap best.

Zero-7

One of my favorite bands. The crazy thing is no matter how much I listen, I don’t get sick of the music. I’ve listened since this song came out. I first heard it while streaming Virgin Radio UK. So good. I like their “polished” video which is first, but I think the original release is interesting because I never got the line dancing bit when they performed live till I saw the original video.

Seriously?

Another weird song popped into my head and I couldn’t shake it! It’s always puzzling when a random song pops into your head that you don’t listen to. I watched the play at the U I think when my wife and I were dating. Maybe have heard it a couple times since. Weird.

A Nice Mix

I like a bunch of mixes that this Majestic person posts. Here are two of my faves. I’ve listened to these two a lot over the last 6 or so years. I usually listen when I’m working on a project and just want chill music.

Beautiful Piano Composition

I came across the composition while I was doing some research for some one else on methods for capturing piano and I was captivated. I personally think the ending needs a little work (what do I know though), but the beginning is simply beautiful.
