Handhelds Getting Bigger and Laptops Getting Smaller? Huh?

Apple kind of makes me scratch my head in frustration these days by going bigger with the Iphones and smaller with the Macbooks. This came up again because I’ve been looking at a new Macbook pro for Annalisa. She loves the 17″ size she currently has… but apple doesn’t make it that big anymore. Then on the flip side, I bought her an Iphone 6 last christmas then promptly returned it because the new models are too big for her hands and went down to the 5 series. I have a galaxy S6 which, i think, is about the same size as the Iphone – and the galaxy is slightly out of MY comfort range. I guess it may be time to jump ship from Apple.

Awesome Ski Video with Great Music

If this video doesn’t get you excited for winter, nothing will. Such a gorgeous video. Has been my favorite since it came out, still so good. When I watch it, oooh, I just want to take my drone out skiing too! The one shot I really wonder how they got was the steady shot tracking the skier parallel at like hip level going down the slope.

The Music

Cash is King?

I have to complain about Chase bank a bit. Annalisa needed to deposit some money into her account at Chase. I thought I’d do it for her because I was already out, so I pulled cash out of my business account at a separate bank and went straight to Chase.

The cash was like really fresh cash too. You know the cash that looks like it’s fresh off the print and still smells… like cash? But at Chase, they said they wouldn’t let me deposit cash directly into her account. They said that I had to run down to 7-11 and get a money order.

What?!! Since when is cash not welcome? I’m sure Walmart would love that cash, Best Buy wouldn’t turn me away, just about any business would welcome cash… but not Chase bank. If it’s about counterfeit risk, aren’t they a bank and should be able to detect that better than anyone else? So… what? They are looking to offset their risk onto western union or whatever money service was at 7-11? That’s just pathetic.

Wyoming Project with Our Roadtrip Music

While I was in Wyoming, I used Annalisa‘s equipment to get shots of a project I was a consultant on. The music in the video is definitely our “trip music”. The project turned out great. I had to quickly shoot the video before heading home. Maybe 5 min in the air and 20 min for the rest. I think it turned out pretty good!
