Blackberry Raspberry Lemonade

I love lemonade and store bought never comes close to homemade. I came up with this as I sometimes throw raspberry pulp in and strain it to extract the last bit of raspberry flavor clinging to the seeds. It makes a great raspberry lemonade. I had raspberries and blackberries from costco and thought, why not. I’m seriously blown away. The color is amazing, but the taste is equally shocking. It’s up there on my list of favorite lemonades I’ve ever had, pretty close, maybe number one. I’m actually shocked I haven’t see a blackberry-raspberry lemonade. It’s that good. Seriously, the color!!! If you like tart and sweet, this is it.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. I first make syrups with the raspberries and blackberries by blending each with about a 1/2 Cup of water. I then strain the seed out and am left with some decent pulp and set aside. I do this for each and make syrups that I use on desserts, in drinks, and over pancakes and what not. It's pretty easy as you just add sugar and a little cornstarch.
  2. You take the pulp of each and throw back in the blender.
  3. Juice the 7 lemons and place juice in blender with strained pulp and enough water to clean up the blender. I did about 5 cups of the 10.
  4. I then ran the lemonade through the strainer and again returned the pulp to the blender.
  5. Add the rest of the water and the pulp of the lemons and even the seeds to the blender and only blend for a couple seconds - again strain everything.
  6. Add sugar, stir till dissolved and chill or throw over some ice and enjoy.
