These sliders are a family favorite. Our kids just inhale them. Plus, since they are made in a pan or griddle, they can easily be made all year.
The important thing with sliders, like any burger, is that hamburger is fresh. The order you make the parts of the burger doesn’t matter too much. You make the sauce, set it aside. You cook the bacon, set it aside. You grill the onions, set it aside. You toast the buns, set it aside.
The Sauce is the real star of the show and is a combo of heat/sweetness to the savory of the bbq sauce. You may want to play with the ratio a bit and the brands. For instance, I like heat, but my family doesn’t so I compromise and get the mild wings sauce. You can’t even make my favorite combo anymore because the wing sauce was discontinued. But the ratio’s still work. You can tone down how much buffalo sauce is added or add more. But this sauce is an absolute winner. The sweet and spicy on a slider is delicious.
When mixing, you want to warm it up a bit to help the brown sugar to mix in thoroughly.
Press the patties thin with your hands or squish with a plate. Then salt and pepper the patties liberally.
Add a dollop of sauce or just serve with the sauce on the side. Either way, you’ll want to have sauce ready for dipping.
