Tommy played in another tournament in the Mesa area. It was the first tournament where the team stayed over in a hotel for the duration of the tournament. These course the teams have played at so far have been far from accommodating. The course, like the course for the first tournament, scheduled their practice round poorly so that it was in twilight hours and the weren’t able to finish, charged them full price, then day of tournament, again, gave no buffer to the tournament. Really weird. Every tournament in Utah I’ve taken him to has pretty much shut the course down for the tournament. just bizarre.
Anyway, so he didn’t really get to practice the course and then slept really poorly. He has a private room and bath and I think sharing a room threw him off a bit. Anyway, all factors led to a not-great 83 the first day. He did recover some the second day with a 75. The total led to him being tied for 32nd out of 43. But he’s hoping the next tournament will go smoother.
