Tommy’s first tournament of his sophomore year. He qualified in the number 1 position, but he’s feeling a bit overwhelmed with his course load. Specifically Calculus 3. He didn’t have as much time to practice and was frustrated with his score. He still played pretty good. 72, 76

I tried to record the Tommy’s complete rounds both days, but the camera died both days towards the end. Plus, I missed shots here and there for unknown reasons.

All-American
Tommy has finished his first year at college!!! Pima won regionals against teams from 4 states. He placed 6th overall. Then they went to nationals in Odessa, Texas where he played all four days and helped the team to a 15th place finish. He finished the year as a first-team academic all-american by maintaining a 4.0 gpa in mechanical engineering. So proud of him!

Skills Competition Information
Tommy traveled to Odessa, TX via plane. They got up at 3:00am Arizona Time. Left to the airport at 4:00am. Departed Tucson International at 5:00am. Arrived in Dallas at 7:20am.

Day 1 of the ACCAC REGION CHAMPIONSHIPS.
The Aztecs lead in Division 1 play by 14 strokes.

Tommy noted after the first day that he was under par heading into the last two holes where he went bogey and then triple bogey.
The Flow Goes to Regionals at Corte Bella
The team decided to grow out their hair and have all got nice flow now, except a.j. with his nicely coifed and trimmed hair.
Qualifying at Ventana Canyon CC
Tommy said the winds were a bit choppy and made play difficult. He automatically qualified for the regional 1 tournament based on his season performance along with Daniel, Jay and Max. The other players had to qualify for the playing 5 position and the reserve 6th position. His teammate got a hole-in-one who was in his group. He said it was pretty nuts. Apparently the ball ricocheted from off the green and went in. Seriously, what are the odds LOL!?
